My name is Sara Rita da Costa, and I am a passionate and dedicated Vedic Astrologer and Ayurvedic Practitioner. Trained under the esteemed guidance of Astrologer Joni Patry, I hold certification as a Vedic Astrologer. Additionally, I have expanded my expertise as a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner through the European Institute of Vedic Studies under the mentorship of Vaidya Atreya Smith. Vaidya Atreya Smith's teachings draw from the authentic essence of Ayurvedic medicine, rooted in the classical texts of Āyurveda and enriched by decades of clinical experience with patients.

In my pursuit of knowledge, I regularly practice under the guidance of my teacher, Girish Vaithilingan, an experienced South Indian Vedic Astrologer. Additionally, I serve as a tutor at the University of Vedic Astrology, founded by Joni Patry, where I find joy in supporting my students along their paths in the profound science of Vedic astrology. Furthermore, I conduct my own Vedic Astrology tutoring classes.

Before immersing myself into this devotional path, I dedicated a decade to nursing in Spain and Belgium, complemented by a Master’s degree in development studies from Ghent University. This academic foundation paved the way for my career in development cooperation at an NGO focused on environmental and human rights issues.

​

Driven by a deep love for India and the ancient Vedic teachings, I embarked on a spiritual journey enriched by the practice of Yoga, the study of Jyotiṣa, and Āyurveda. Under the guidance of my teacher, Shantala Sriramaiah, I was also initiated into Vedic chanting as well which is part of my daily practice.

My consultations are rooted in Vedic wisdom, complemented by my personal and professional experiences. I am committed to helping individuals gain a profound understanding of Vedic Astrology and Ayurveda, bringing the richness of Vedic knowledge into the forefront of our society. It brings me immense joy to learn and share the wisdom of the Vedas with you all. In my practice, I strive to integrate Astrology, Āyurveda, Yogic practices, and Veda chanting.
