Feeling at home in our bodies and at peace in our minds is the way to achieve harmony and happiness. Based on Ayurvedic principles, each individual has unique needs, and so there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach. There is no better way than Ayurveda, a thousand years-tested wisdom, to help you get to the root-cause of imbalances and keep your whole being balanced. This consultation is the first step in evaluating your unique body constitution (Prakriti). In this assessment we look at the root cause of possible imbalances and address this according to Ayurveda's perspective. Recommendations will be given related to diet and lifestyle. Together we will see how the appropriate recommendations can be integrated in your daily life. According to Ayurveda, nutrition and lifestyle are the foundation for a healthy body and mind. Ayurveda is a holistic medical system that not only focuses on physical and emotional health but also in a balanced life as a whole. In the consultation, we take important aspects into account such as your personal and medical history as well as your surroundings, current phase of life, among other factors. The Vedic natal chart is also assessed as it provides additional insight not only about your Prakriti, but also about periods and factors of imbalance. My consultation is based on the teachings of Vaidya Atreya Smith and Dr. Sunil Joshi. Additionally, I have incorporated materials on medical astrology that I have learned from one of my teachers, Girish Vaithilingan, as well as my experience both as an astrologer and as a nurse. Note! Remember that Ayurveda requires the person to be completely involved in the healing process so that it is effective. It is often needed to have a follow-up consultation 2 to 3 weeks after the 1st consultation.
