October Astrological Insights 2022

October is an important month this year with powerful transits in the sky, which is why I decided to write this post. As the transits show, the Universe works in such a logical and clear way that everything makes sense and follows a logic pattern. After six retrograde planets in September, Mercury and Saturn will go direct in October, but Mars will turn retrograde after the solar eclipse. This energy has built up a lot of tension that has to be released soon. Retrogrades remind us that there are areas of our lives that need review as well as karmic lessons to learn, and these are times of profound healing of the past, removing what no longer serves our life’s purpose.
Although I am analysing turbulent transits in this post, please remember that my goal is not to make you afraid but to make you aware of what's happening - that's why Vedic astrology is called the Vedic science of light because it illuminates our paths and we have to be humble, dedicated, and committed as astrologers. Although the journey of change is never easy, true change comes from each individual. In many cases, it is a challenging process. Both as individuals and as a society, we are constantly experiencing this. On the outside, we see a reflection of our internal experience. By changing our thoughts and actions, we can make a difference in the world.
There is no doubt that the solar eclipse of 25 October calls for justice, self-empowerment and freedom, so that is what each of us must choose - one thing is certain, we must become more and more independent. Don't be afraid to follow that, you won't regret it. Though it isn't easy, it is necessary. Small steps pave the way. Remember that eclipses' energy lasts for six months. It is time to let go of the past and fight for a better future.
2 OCTOBER
MERCURY GOES DIRECT IN VIRGO
Mercury becomes stronger as he goes direct and is conjunct Venus and aspected by Jupiter. With the following transits, Mercury will see a lot of dynamic energy around him, suggesting turbulence and change in our thoughts and consciousness.
Good time to start new projects.
Good time to travel and learn.
8/9 OCTOBER
PLUTO STATIONS AT 2 DEGREES CAPRICORN AND GOES DIRECT
The stationing of a planet is a highly intense event that requires our full attention. Pluto is staying at 2 degrees for months. It is at this degree mark in Capricorn and Cancer that planets are undergoing an intense process of change and transformation. Pluto removes everything that is not counterproductive from our lives, leading to profound changes.
Scandals and shocking news.
Death and Re-birth.
Pluto also represents nuclear energy.
24 OCTOBER
SATURN STATIONS AND GOES DIRECT
SATURN SQUARES URANUS
Saturn stations is a karmic aspect that forces us to face reality and the present moment. Moments like this provide an opportunity for healing. Pay attention if you have natal planets at 24 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra. With Saturn stationing in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries, both at 24 degrees, the 4th and final square of Saturn (Capricorn) and Uranus (Aries) is extremely powerful. Whenever there is a square, unresolved issues emerge.
It is the sign of Capricorn that represents the economy, governments, and leadership, while the sign of Aries represents the birth of something new - remember that the previous solar eclipse was in Aries in the nakshatra of Bharani, which symbol is the womb. Ultimately, governments and leaders will have to resolve much of their karma, which will lead us to a better world.

Earth changes: Earthquakes, unexpected events, advancements in technology.

Zelensky's natal Moon is at 24 degrees of Cancer directly opposed by stationing Saturn, regardless of whether his Taurus ASC is correct or not. This is a difficult aspect for him and for Ukraine. If the Ukraine ASC Capricorn is correct, the 4th house (Aries) of the homeland is highly disturbed and in danger by this Saturn-Uranus square. This was where the previous solar eclipse took place. The next solar eclipse happens in Libra where natal Pluto is located in Ukraine's natal chart, also at 24 degrees.
25 OCTOBER
SOLAR ECLIPSE IN LIBRA
A partial solar eclipse will be visible over India, Russia, part of China, the Middle East, Turkey and Europe. Therefore, this part of the globe is the most affected by the eclipse for the next 6 months. Venus is involved in this eclipse in her own sign of Libra, which represents relationships, harmony, peace, justice and diplomacy. Eclipses bring to the surface things we didn't know about. This is very telling because it happens after Pluto and Saturn station to go direct. The eclipse occurs in the nakshatra of Swati ruled by deity Vayu, the god of the Wind. Swati is the star of independence and entrepreneurship and is ruled by Rahu. Swati means sword as a tool for self-advancement and Rahu gives the courage to go beyond the obstacles. This solar eclipse is extremely intense as it happens the day after Saturn stations to go direct and after Saturn and Uranus square.

30 OCTOBER - 12 JANUARY
MARS GOES RETROGRADE IN GEMINI AND TAURUS
This transit happens five days after the solar eclipse. Mars is always a trigger for events. Pay attention if you have natal planets around 1 degree of Gemini or Sagittarius. Mars will station to go retrograde at this exact degree.
Anger and violence.
Protests.
Escalation of war/emerging of new wars.
The economy and financial markets will be highly affected during this period because there is a need of a restructuring in finances (Taurus).
Food supplies and agriculture are affected as well.
This Mars retrograde is activating the charts of the USA and its Vice-President Kamala Harris as well as the chart of China's President. More will be discussed in a future post.
